Simple Rose

Just a simple rose
So delicate and frail
both inside and out
the thorns never fail
to keep away
those who're unwanted
yet a gentle touch
proves it granted
within it forever
is eternal beauty
with eternal grace
and so little to lose
this simple rose
has nothing to prove
just a symbol
of pure innocence
dew droplets
always glisten
reflecting light
of the heavens above
this simple rose
has so much to love
