Odd Beauty

by k i k i   Sep 21, 2005

Swimming in unknown seas,
Beautiful creations, why can't I be one?
Odd one out; why me though?
I want to shine, laugh like I used to.
One last time, I want to see the smile,
That you bring me.

Coral, still with beauty,
Can't I just steal some pride?
Lost for words, I have no voice,
I can't show that I'm afraid.
Fins stream through misty waters,
I want to swim the high tide.

Different coloured skin,
Stand out from the crowd.
No notice of the inside,
I don't know what to think.
Scales never bright,
Turn the fainted seas to grey.

Let the shine back into my eyes,
The reflection that blinded me.
I want to be happy,
Forget the catch that nearly had dinner.
Cut the bones away from the flesh,
I can still make it, will power.

You can cut the skin, the flesh, but I'll bleed.
