Saved By The Bell

Humble beginnings
Is the start
Of this story
About broken heart
Slowly progressed
Up and on
Then looming smoke
And its gone

Descend rapidly
Can't go back
Caving in
Lying on my back
Darkness curls
Into old dreams
Nothing ever
As it seems

All alone
Nowhere to hide
No one standing
By this side
Time evaporates
Into the air
I can only
Stand and stare

As my world begins
Its horrid end
Nothing cuts
The violent trend
Even in sleep
It haunts me still
A terrible nightmare
Reigns until...

One phone call was all it took
To turn the page in this book
Draw a line through all the pain
Start a new clean page again

The margins now do open wide
Now there is no need to hide
Simple conversation to show you care
Now i know there's someone there

All these papercuts did bleed
Making my words hard to read
Just your voice and a few laughs
Picked me up and changed my path

One step, start to carry on
All the swirling thoughts are gone
Only one does not fly free
Thank you so much for phoning me
