it's the most celebrated emotion.
but they never mention what comes next.
Heartbreak.
the thing they never put on greeting cards.
the sorrow of a broken heart is immense
like there's nothing left to live for
when you lose the one you truly love
and absolutely nothing can replace.

watch you touch her, they way you did me
imagining the words you'll whisper to her
knowing in my heart- she can never love you like i did

but the pain will never leave
