Bound and tied down,
I was enchained to cruel emotions.
Like a caged animal,
I was unable to break free.

i luv the part, i feel lyke this all the time. this poem also has great flow.
the only part i didnt particulary lyke was "Wary at first, I was hesitant in meeting the dark souls there,
But they welcomed me in a way no other has.
A smile broadened across my face,
At last I have found companions that are like myself.
it doesnt seem to flow right. but thats just my opinion. :P
