A Stolen Land

by ThugPoet   Sep 22, 2005

Living in a land, barren, stolen and raped,
exploiting hypocrisy like police brutality caught on tape,
my heart cries because our train of though is basic,
forgetting that the land we're living in really belongs to the Natives,
the root of terrorism, Bush should look to where he lives,
home of the slave ships, tribes in settlements, see what the Truth really is?
They use fear to keep the masses at bay,
regardless, I'm going to say, what I have to say,
Governments quick to place the blame but I wish they knew,
when you point a finger theres three pointing right back at you,
So the synopsis is concise and precise,
the same way they invaded the religion of Christ, bartered and painted in white,
the threat is massive, so intricate and real,
but to them, my words are like a wound that just wont heal,
its come to a point where we cant even trust the news,
because they replace reality with biased political views,
under the cloak of impunity, look at the world they're buildin',
on a plateau of bodies they've bombed, mutilated innocent women and children,
a place where the people are dead, all we have are shells of men,
our soldiers are dieing out there, but they don't want it to end,
think about it, this is where the guns are manufactured and sold,
ignorance is a disease and it murders the soul,
you may think how many times could I address this issue,
till the day I'm dead and buried, and the worms eat at my tissue,
chaos and suffering is unfortunate but true,
I guess you can never know the Truth until it happens to you,
because the trials we've faced till today, however persistent,
has been the reality everyday for so many sinless infants,
if we knew how we've been enslaved metaphysical chains on our feet,
there'd be a revolt from the West all the way to the East,
blood running the streets,
and if some how they suppress my ability to speak,
theres a million more like me, who preach the same lessons I teach,
you cant silence a voice that doesn't need a mouth to be spoken,
because I'm just a vessel through which the Truth is showin', and will be even after my coffins old and broken,
I've got faith, my people we need to stand united and strong,
I've made it clear where I stand when the line is drawn, for so long, but now the line is gone,
So pay heed to the world around you, before it swallows you whole,
living in a stolen land, lacking morals, completely out of control.

Thank you.

Well said my friend; I think this line sums it up well!
"Governments quick to place the blame but I wish they knew,
when you point a finger theres three pointing right back at you"
The ending was great as well; everything you write about couldn't be more true. I think many share you view on this matter. You took a subject and wrote what you truly feel you did an excellent job. Take Care! Brooke~
