An Unknown Void (hear me)

by Strange Angel   Sep 22, 2005

I am the unknown void
Or so some people say
Will anyone really know me?
No-one did today.

Sometimes I'm scared
When I think I realise
That my friends worked me out
But they never saw I died.

But do we see the same
When reading through this text?
Am I simply just a game?
If so, let's see who's next.

So many questions,
Here's where the answers lie;
They're buried in my words
As I struggle not to cry

So please, I beg you all,
Just use your eyes and ears
Hear me as I'm calling you,
Through all these burning tears.

The scars on paper evoke
Streaks upon my arms
But let me ask you now,
Have you ever seen my harm?

Not all wounds are visible
They're written deep inside
But those upon the surface,
Anyone would hide.

Try to understand,
That not all you read is true
But I'm written deep inside this
And I believe in you

I know that you can find me,
I don't want to feel lost
And I know I'll try to keep you
No matter what the cost.

Are you sure you're all right? Because reading all these rather depressing poems is making me think otherwise.......... Wonderful sadness though.....
