A House By the Sea

by Truest Lies   Sep 24, 2005

A house by the sea,
would be a happy thing for me,
a place of solace,
and of learning to let go
the deadly memories that cling to me.

Id wake up every morning, and open up the door, for at dawn thered be nothing more delightful, than a walk on the seashore,
And at eve, just before the sunset, Id sit on my veranda, contemplating another day that has been teaching me to get away, from all the things that harm me,

one day closer to all the things that charm me,
for nothing is more comforting,
than a house by the sea.

The lovely swirl of sand in the wind, the aroma of salt,
the feeling of freedom, when concrete cages seem so remote.

That is my place, of seashells and seagulls, of sunsets and sand,
that is my house,
My house beside the sea.
