Painted Picture

by k i k i   Sep 24, 2005

Picture that's been painted,
A girl in the mirror, scared and alone.
Tears falling from her face,
A pool of fear runs below her shallow feet.
New horizon waiting,
Breaking free from this image.

High above the clouds,
Sleeping off the terrible past.

Blue skies of happiness,
And making daisy chains, she's smiling.
No frowning like before,
A gleam to her eye brightens my mind.
Dimples imbedded in her cheeks,
Soaking the left over tears.

Sponge absorbing the fear,
Dripping out the excess that kills her.

Sun healing the scars,
Fading into the night's crisp wind.
Blood drying up,
It's like she wasn't there before.
A wish, to be her,
Granted, a fairytale come true.

Taking her wand,
Making his dreams come reality.

Water and blood, falling from the picture,
She just wants to embrace his touch. Xx
