Repeated Over

by k i k i   Sep 24, 2005

I'm repeating history,
Same things keep putting me back, always.
Losing myself, and sense of time,
No way of getting home alive.
Logic won't help me,
Lost for all directions.

Nothing will help me now,
Not even a map or compass to you.

Over and over,
I wonder, think like I do.
Why was it me who fell on the sidewalk?
Why did I have to get set back?
I was always one step ahead of the pack,
Now I'm trailing to catch up.

Marbles left on the road,
So I can find the way back, if I make it.

Falling behind, repeated heartache,
Turmoil and I just want to start again.
I don't want to be that girl,
To has to keep running over and over.
I want to make the right choice,
Stay ahead, glued in position.

Nothing will run me down now,
Feet stuck on the dream, always.
