Sleep Screams

by k i k i   Sep 24, 2005

Screaming out for something calm,
Perfect, nothing wrong.
Calling for sanity to overcome me,
In a world where I can't cry.
I don't want it to be this way,
Hiding all the time shattered.

In the broken corner,
I sit and wait for you to find me.

Screaming for the darkness to lighten,
For the gleam to shine through the door.
Pitch black shadows fading into,
The real world; becoming new sunshine.
I don't want to be awake
Of a night; screaming.

Restless nights, tossing and turning,
I can't stop thinking the worse.

Screaming, with no answer back,
No one will give me a response.
Searching for traces of how
We used to be, bright and happy.
So cold without your warmth,
I'm not safe to live on.

Screaming out for a call,
To change; to sanity.
