Mistakes becoming Love

I always tend to think back,
To all our time together,
The moments we shared,
But now there all just a blur,

We had so much fun,
Just being with one another,
Whether we were poor or rich,
We wouldn't let go of each other,

Our hearts would beat fast,
Pumping hard against our chest,
Taking what was to be embraced,
Taking what god has had us blessed,

I've learnt the hard way never to let go,
No matter what you get put through,
Not only with life but with love,
This is because of you,

From our mistakes we can take a step,
Move forward on the past,
Behind us all of life's unhappy endings,
Being forgotten all to fast,

My heart will never go through the same,
Love that you gave me the love I felt,
No one has ever cared so much,
And offered so much help,

When I see a weakness in your eyes,
I touch your cheek with a sweet kiss,
Say everything's going to be alright,
No longer does this comfort exist,

For once in my life truly found love,
It could not be more perfect,
The way we take each hand,
Hold it and protect,

I was dumb I did not see,
The beautiful person which lies inside,
I did not push you away,
In you I trusted and confide,

Everyday my heart will wait,
For this mistake to be erased,
I will love each waking day for you,
In my heart you won't be replaced.

[This isn't about the usual person but someone else. I'd rather nto say who.]
