You Were

by Tess   Sep 24, 2005

You were my sun and my air.
You were the wind that swayed through my hair.
You hung the moon and hung the stars.
You chased away my fears when I was in your arms.
You made my worries disappear.
You made my dreams sweet and clear.
When you cried I could feel the warm wet tears began to form in my hazel eyes.
When your heart broke mine had shattered.
But what hurt me most of all was when I had hurt you.
I always felt ashamed, and scared I began to start weeping.
I would have nightmares when I was sleeping.
The day I had ended it all I had lied and said the most horrible thing.
I said I couldn't suffer from another broken heart.
Lying to you killed me and tore me apart inside, it had made my heart collide.
It took all my love and buried my hope. I wish this was some kind of joke.
But just know although my heart is now broken your love and support
Is the token to fixing it all and making it whole.
Until then I must try and pay my toll to pay off my debt.
You and me I will never forget.
