Dark Fairytale

Please forgive me
If I fail
But it is my job to tell
This dark fairy tale
Of two hearts torn
By love and hate
There tragic mortal
And immortal fate
Their love will transcend time
And even cause me
To rhyme

As some people say
Once upon a time
There was a land where the darkness was the day
And the night
Its kingdom was so dreary
The sun never shone bright
And the natives weary
For the young king was evil
And its fair princess was never cheery.

He wanted her as his bride
It was the only way her secret
He would hide
But she did not love him

The princess was in love with her guard
The king was oblivious to this
But keeping a secret is so hard
It was found out in time

She gave herself to him
Right after they were secretly wed
The king found out
And her love was sent to war with out another word said

She was convinced her love wouldn't die
His immortality protected him
But still her smile still was a lie
And the King tried to maker her marry him

Once the war was over the King captured her love
The warriors returned
And she watched and waited for him in the castle above
And of his capture the Princess learned

The King offered her a deal
Marry him
And once they're wedding vows were a seal
Her love would be let go

She had to accept for her love
There was going to be a Royal wedding
But the King had a secret
After there would be a beheading

The vilest kiss ever
Shared by the Princess and the King
She wanted to leave and look back never
But that night the King had other plans

After the vows
The newly weds sat on their thrones
Her love was brought in to be released
If only she had known

She watched as they threw him down
And with the strike of a sword
He love was dust on the ground
She lost everything

Her vampiric love was gone
It was all her fault
If only she had seen
She was such a dolt

And by the dark light
She would try to rejoin him
Reality was a lost sight
In the fatal darkness

She would come to an end
And join her angel of hell
Her dead would send
Her to be with him forever
