First Faliure

How do you keep living,
Knowing you've tried to change that fact?
Realizing reality,
Trying to run from it,
Doesn't work that way,
The capsules you have swallowed,
The note you wrote,
Unread.
They didn't work,
And now you live knowing,
The pills and emotions you've ingested,
A small stint of a good mood,
A train wreck of anxiety takes over,
Attacking you,
Pushing you back to the cabinet,
Back to the bottle,
Back to the paper,
Another go around on the suicide carousel.

Fantastic. Normally I stay away from sad suicide poems written by young teens, for a fairly obvious reason, but this one I'm glad I read. You've broken the steriotype in my eyes. All the images from the "unread" note to the "suicide carousel" was perfect. You really portrayed great emotion and meaning with this. Well done keep it up, you have talent.

  • Hey, really good poem, you're so truthful and you put alot of things in perspective. Well done !!
