Finally

The day finally came
when i could be with you
and it was beautiful.

You held me close
while i shivered
in the september chill.

You made me feel safe
while we watched
a scary movie.

You made my stomach
do flip flops
and my heart leap.

And then you looked at me,
and i looked at you,
and we kissed.

It was perfect,
it gives me butterflies
just thinking about it.

And these butterflies
haven't stopped
since last night.
