Little Secrets

by Carmen   Sep 25, 2005

Be careful what you say,
And who you say it to.
Little secrets are fun,
But you'll regret what they do.

It starts with a whisper,
A giggle here and there.
You thought you could trust this person,
Later learned it's not fair.

They tell someone,
And tell them not to tell you.
Unfortunately you didn't know,
But it's not yet through.

Someone tells someone else,
And soon everyone knows.
Now you know,
How quickly gossip flows.

You sit and cry,
As everyone laughs.
Soon you start to lie,
And say it's all not true.

Now you know,
What little secrets can do.
If you can't trust someone with your gut,
You better keep your mouth shut.
