Through it all

Long ago we'd go to the park,
just so we could run.
We'd play hide n seek but mostly tag,
wern't those days fun?

We'd play in the water,
soaked up to our knees
We'd play in the mud,
but we'd roll up our sleeves.

Go fishing at the pond,
and catch a big fish.
Sit under the stars,
and make a wish.

Twirling on the tireswing,
until we couldn't walk.
Laughing so hard,
we couldn't even talk.

Running to school together,
trying not to be late for class.
Hoping we'd get there on time,
so maybe we could pass.

Falling in love,
letting it change who we are,
everyone laughed at our dreams,
because they seemed so far.

Graduating highschool,
and going away.
No sure of where you'll end up,
and not sure if you'll stay.

Soon you'll get married,
and have a family of your own.
Some will end up unhappy,
trying to make it alone.

But ever if there is a day,
that you feel like it's the end.
Look back on those childish days,
and remember i'm still your best friend.
