Summer love,
i knew it would have to end,
but its so hard to say goodbye,
and all is left is a heart to mend.

the jokes we shared,
the laughs we had,
the times you teased me,
god! you made me mad!

but then you made it better,
the first kiss,
your sweet embrace,
thats what i really miss.

at times i felt used,
but you charmed your way out,
with your sweet talking,
and a sad little pout.

now when i think back,
and think of your smile,
and the stupid things you said
the way you flirted with me.

a smile flutters over my lips,
and i cant help but think
about that time
when it was just you and me.

making the other boys jealous
thats what we aimed to do
but i fell for you
though i did try not to.

now we haven\'t talked for months
and your smile is fading
your puppy eyes a distant memory
but its best this way there no me and you.

its hard not to think of you
especially when i am down
and the days are dark
i keep going i wont let you win!!!!
