Fortune of Knowledge

by Jemma   Sep 26, 2005

The letters in the dark melt into blackness
The invisible consciousness of my mind
Keys to a lock long forgotten
The treasures many have sought to find

A window is veiled to a veiled eye
The door is locked to a stranger
The golds of fortune of sky

Chariots of fire racing the sun
Clouds idle amongst such heroes
Rain falling now it has begun

The songs of forgotten ancestry
Descendents sing to their worth
Not knowing the past is their history
Not knowing the secrets that lurk

The keys lie buried over and under hill
The maps are charred and burnt
A thousand whispers of moonshine
A treasure that no one has earnt
