Valediction: On Time and Love (Part II. Oblivion)

by HansRik   Sep 26, 2005

Thus Time will cry this everlasting pain,
The cruelest pain of all, the one of love,
And hence her haunting memories remain.

The simple memory of Time does cry,
For there is not a single joyful remembrance
In its empty soul, whate'er it denies.

They say Time cures our every raw betray'l;
but nay, of hollow love we're all replete.
Affliction will never go away.

And what caused this horrendous Abstraction
if not a dolent Obliteration?
Now Time can only hope for Oblivion.
