Hope lost

by Amber   Sep 26, 2005

I lost you on that fateful day.
My heart never was the same.
It twisted and turned inside my chest.
Yet, still I am the one to blame.

A chain has been thrown about my neck and you hold the ends.
Life's unexpected turns have thrown me out of the bend.

I hear my peers around me and no longer can I stand. To be around this warmth any longer. Together with my comrades I will not band.

I liked it. I'd suggest reworking the last stanza to make it flow better, but it had a good image so don't lose that. Nice work
