Storm

by Ashley Van Eperen   Sep 26, 2005

Echoing in the silence
Of my broken heart
Shadows of a stormy day
From a life thats torn apart

Beating against the window
Of my tattered soul
Raindrops come to freeze me
But I'm already cold

Ripples in the water
Like a memory they play
Reminding me of a time
When I didn't feel this way

Lightening strikes my body
Tearing me in two
Wanting to hold on
But not knowing what to do

A rumble comes to break me
Shattering my walls
I'm trying to hold on
But from this storm,
I do fall
