A lonley War

by Shaw   Sep 26, 2005

I came unhurt in this war; But in a war again
The war of lonely pain
I'm sitting in a room; Alone and hurt
I don't feel like it, but i still remain

Pushing my hand threw my hair
Touching the walls; Of painful memories
My hands, blood stained and battered
Tears streaming ; I beg to be free

Fingers filding; still heavy from the metal; gun
Shoulders; still heavy bullets holding down
Watching body after body; shake and break
Bleeding, crying tears of fear, falling to the ground

He; a noble man; a hero in my own eyes
As he fought for his strength and belief
Never a frown in the trench; or a tear in his eye
The pain and fear never came to light; always underneath

Taking the bullet. In his gold heart
The blood, strength and laughs spew on the mud
Pulls the pin from a death object, throws with little life
He fights with anything; like a soldier should

I fire with my weakness; the anger flows
Murdering the devils; blood stained hands
Snapping his identity ; taking the tag
My friends soul lies on death land

This room so empty so cold
My memories; will they never die
I came out the war; No blood left my heart
Only tears; Of agony i let myself cry

A trench full; Of Gods dead men
A father; A husband; A teen
They go; Knowing they'll never return
They see the ending; Yes they've seen

The family's of there men; Hope and pray
That they come home; return from hell
The battle field; Blood smeared on hands
If you return; Know they've fell

Eats you alive; a memories never dies
To see the innocent Men fall and bleed
Taking the Weeks body's; half dead
Is a painful empty deed

We walk; We sit; We hurt; We cry
I made it; My mind is empty and dead
Family's; Friends; who loved Gods soldiers
All there pain; and tears linger in my head

I wish; That i was shot on the battle field
I came home; i returned from devils opening hole
He didn't take; My body
But he took my heart mind and soul
