Dream

I had a dream last night
It felt so real and true
Flooded with completeness
And complete because of you
You put your arms around me
Pulled me in and held me tight
And though I'd never realized
This was truly right
Failing to remember
The last time I felt so real
For the first time in so long
Someone's finally made me feel
As you lent in to kiss me
Your lips so close to mine
I hear a buzzer ringing
And I wake to see the time
Tears fill up my eyes
As realization washes through
It was nothing but a lie
A dream that wasn't true
