Soul of a Poet (part 1)

The power of word is seen in ever rosary bead,
in every innocent child as they suffer and bleed,
how much are we prepared to sacrifice until we pay heed,
properly to corrupt policies, to prophecies?
Words were what brought around equality,
but what good is that when nations don't speak of honesty?
Mohammad was first Commanded by God to 'Read',
count the words you utter, for every sin and every deed,
try and fathom totally what I've failed to comprehend,
how a simple word determines your enemy from your friend,
its funny how words can determine right from wrong,
you could write up political sanctions or the most beautiful song,
if my soul left me tonight and formed a physical shape,
you'd see it expressed on a page, visible in a lyrical state,
words are what make me, my love & my life,
if I hadn't fallen in Love, I would make them my wife,
think about it, how much power a single word can hold,
a weapon for the wise, through which the Truth can be told.

    Another great write. you bring creativity to your work and my it definately your own. i haven't read work quiet like this. great job with the power of what a word can do. it's amazing to think of how words can mack such a different to the world. words get us farther than violance as well. beautiful write.

    Well, I am actually in a shock state from reading this because i have not yet read something quite like this. Words hold a power like no other and to reconize the power that they have in a unique yet simple way amazes me. I absolutely love this poem and i am extremely impressed with the way you conveyed this message...
    awsome job and congrats for being the first i have seen on adressing this issue with such passion and style.
