Losing Love

by Chazeh   Sep 27, 2005

Tears stream down your cheeks
Towards your lips
These long wet streaks
Drop down onto your hips

You swore you'd never part
Be who can keep a promise
Without a broken heart
And abandoning without even a kiss?

He said he'd be with you,
Until the very end,
But now what do you do?
Without your dearest friend!

He's left you behind
but it wasnt his fault
Now your left to shine
With your own life to jolt.

You remember his every last move
As you sat and watched him die
Trying to show him your disapprove
For what they've done, trying not to cry.

The car came speeding around the bend
As you walked along the road
Hand in hand with your dearest friend
It swerved and hit you both from the road.

You chest was pounding
And you hurt all over
You could feel your arm bone grinding
As you tried to crawl over.

He lay there
Unable to move, bleeding to his death
You managed to get to him to bare
His last few words before his final breath.

You said you were sorry
You just want him to be okay.
He tells you not to worry
He'll never die, no way!

You hold him in yours arms
Trying to bare the pain
Of losing him and all the harm
There's nothing there to gain.

You feel life rush from him
And he utters three final words to you
You can't believe its come from him
"I love you."

You cry into his chest
As the driver gets near,
You've lost your love but not for the best
Now you have no one to call your dear.

You stand there in court
Pleased with the sentence
Knowing you've done your part
Through all this persistence

70 years from that day
You lay in your bed
Cold for no light of day
For now you are dead
