Simple Cut

by Kayla   Sep 27, 2005

The water running,
The door locked shut.
You let out your fears,
With that one simple cut.

The long shirts you wear,
And the bracelets to hide.
Your scars and stories,
To your wrists you confide.

You think you keep a secret,
And no one will know.
But behind your smile,
You sadness will show.

You walk through life,
Like every things fine.
Only to go home,
And make that crimson filled line.

Why do you pretend?
It is easy to see.
You don't like your life.
It's filled with misery.

The only passion you have.
Is when the blade hits your wrist.
All the other beauty and joy,
Is something that you've missed.

It's become an addiction.
It's all you need.
With that one simple cut.
Your anger will bleed.
