Chase The Sorrow

by Bill Turner   Sep 27, 2005

Call comes middle of the night
Tears, fears and sorrow on the phone
Suddenly my world is not right
I feel your sadness and moan

Driving to you
Speeding down the highway of life
Knowing just what to do
To ease your pain, remove the knife

Hour upon hour holding you tight
Telling everything I feel
Feeling better, middle of the night
The pain and emotions so real

There will be nights like this
I will be there for you
In my arms, a hug and a kiss
Cradling you while you are blue

Leaving late getting no sleep
Feeling right as you smile and rest
Away those demons I will keep
Giving you my best

Today will be exceptionally long
I will do it again for you
I can stand strong
Last night my worry was for you
