Stripped From The Past

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Sep 27, 2005

Walking along the ocean's shore, my footprints inprint.
The water speaks to me in a soothing voice, peaceful.
Mountains rise in the distance, shadows against the sky.
Colors bleed into the night, the sky's pain revealed.

Looking into the horizon, my past flashes before me.
Looking into the horizon, the memories bleed their pain.
Haunted for so many years, anger raging within.
Tourmented by the pain, my scream echoes in the night.

Walking along the ocean's shore, stripped from who I was.
The pain had consumed me, hidden beneath the truth.
As I look into the sky, the memories slowly fade away.
Looking into my past, I know the sun will shine tomorrow.
