Fake Tears

by Anthony   Sep 27, 2005

Everything I've done and ever will do,

I sacrifice it all for the pleasure of you.

What I get in return isn't worth the time,

I find you are a dog, way past your prime.

The love I once had for you isn't there,

My heart is empty and I just don't care.

I realize I can finally say,

I CAN live without you and my emotions won't fray.

Can you turn your back without shedding a tear?

I can and I will and walk forward, no fear.

You were everything I wanted and needed to survive,

But now with you around, I don't know how to stay alive.

Do what you will, I need no mercy from your wrath,

And I do hope it kills you inside, just to hear my laugh.

All the lies, the untruths and deceit,

They'll all come crashing down at your feet.

I don't care for any tear that you make,

Cause I know and you know that, like you, they are fake.

So In parting, I'd now like you to know,

Your actions have made you a powerful foe.
