Emily's Rose

by Kirsty   Sep 28, 2005

The skies are overcast
With stories of her past
And nobody leaves a rose for Emily
Nobody can see
That she's a dying breed
Give her what she needs
But still no rose for Emily

And where she stays
Quietly lays
Cold from hopeless breathing
The tears that flow
And still no rose
Waiting here for Emily

The voices soon stray
Her flowers fade away
And nobody leaves a rose for Emily
Nobody can see
Built up in ecstasy
As she sees her fantasy
And nobody leaves a rose for Emily

And where she stays
Cold from hopeless dreaming
Quietly lays
Here lays a silent rose

*Always thinking of you Sunshine*
*I'll leave you a rose forever*
