Miracles

by Fluffy Cotton   Sep 28, 2005

Radiant in lucency and splendor
The lake sits glazed beneath the placid haze
And all the while this beauty must surrender
To the moon, the precious pearl ablaze

The moon is floating softly on a cloud
Her presence overpowering the sky
Her glowing light falls gently to the ground
And not a soul is seeing this but I

This sun-kissed meadow glows with immortality
And though these mountains enviously conceal,
Their mask can't hide the meadows personality
Each life-depicting detail is revealed

Each flower holds inside a new beginning
So though one day the life inside will die
A golden promise from its roots is given
And not a soul is seeing this but I

The amber luminescent autumn leaves
Comfort with their heart-warming embrace
And though im lost in this September breeze
My soul sustains its ginger thermal grace

The gentle gossip of the talkative leaves
Is almost like they're whispering goodbye
As one leaf dies, the one beside it greaves
And not a soul is seeing this but I

The foggy shore is frozen in the sunset
Each second fleeting quickly for the next
Ironic how ephemeral existence
Seems to be existence at its best

And though this moment seems to last forever
Forever's just an instant, then it dies
But I can see the heavens in the distance
And not a soul is seeing this but I

Falling down and floating all around me,
Chaos in it's subtlest of forms
These fragile bits of cotton now surround me
This silver-glazed embrace so soft and warm

And while the world around me now is blurry
I view it all through my unclouded eyes
How beautiful my perfect silver chaos
And not a soul is seeing this but I

The bleak congested streets now seem so dismal
From way up here, my worries seem so small
Life's problems lie beneath me in a bundle
And here I am, to marvel at them all

If I could ever live a life of leisure
That life would be right here, above the sky
This mountain top, a window into clarity
And not a soul is seeing this but I

The water gently bounces on the pavement
As shadows crawl along from tree to tree
A steady rumble vibrates through the air
And lightning fills the sky for all to see

The pavement softly glistens in the moonlight
As starlight forms impressions in the sky
Remaining water rumbles from the leaves
And not a soul is seeing this but I

Many people spend their day complaining
Picking out the lowest things in life
The world is full of miracles and splendor
But some people are focused on the strife

There's beauty spread throughout this hectic world
If only you would open up your eyes
There are certain things in life worth seeing
And not a soul is seeing them but I

It's little long but that doesn't reduce any beauty of this poem. Your description is so clear and every line is so well constructed that it feels really good through this. Wonderful poem... really wonderful!
