You once meant everything to me
But I meant nothing to you
You couldn't see I was hurting
What you were putting me through

You said words that were meaningless
And tried to make a big impression
But you were not in control of me
I was not your possession

You acted like you owned me
But I belong to no one
You took things so seriously
I just wanted to have fun

Every time I turned a corner
I always saw you there
But face up to the truth
Sometimes life just ain't fair
