The Bloody Kiss

She stumbles from the head wounds
She heaves her heavy chest
Shes crying from the damage done
And shes bleeding from the rest

She didnt deserve the conflict
She waited and counted to ten
She didnt have time to take a breath
Before he punched her once again

She swallows the pain inhumanly
She takes another blow
It may look like shes the weaker one
But she has more strength than he'll ever know

She spits the blood from her mouth
And claws at the cold stone floor
She prays to dig herself out
But he only hits her more

She takes a kick to the lungs
And suddenly she's shocked
No more screaming anymore
Her fate is set and locked

In hoarse gasps of breaths,
Her eyes widened in imminent fear
All the games they played that night
Have finally led them here.

He stood above her mangled body
Her chest still heaves to no gain.
He's gazing at her thoughtlessly
You might think that he's insane.

She's losing herself too quickly
Her tears begin to dry
Yet she realizes eventually
That this is the day she'll die.

So in her last fleeting moments
She administered a bloody kiss
And with her last breath she said,
"I hope you die from this."

She clasped her chest with bruised hands
And placed them over her dying heart
The bloody kiss was all that was left
Of the knowledge she tried to impart.

He stared upon her mangled body
And tossed it beside his dead wife
He stared upon their mangled bodies
He's the father of a stolen life.
