I once had a best friend

I had a best friend growing up back in the days
but then something happened and we went our ways
i can't speak of why we drifted apart
because back in the day we were sisters at heart

she understood me more the anyone else i knew
and when i had a problem she seem to know what to do
never bringing me down to hurt me in any way
we seem to be together every single day

laughing and playing swimming as well
next thing i knew things weren't going so swell
i was losing my best friend she was slipping away
the question i ask now does she know I'm there for her every single day??
