Set me free into the stars, (on your shoulders).

by Lynn Anderson   Sep 29, 2005

I stared into the northern lights the other night.
And it reminded me of you.
The simplicity of it, all the extraordinary colors.
They blended together exactly how we used to. Our deep friendship was always changing, but never once was it ever fading.
Dramatic rhythms fall from the sky.

Last night i seen a shooting star.
I know it was you.
Doing everything you need to do.
I know at night when I look up at the moon, your looking back at me too.

That gives me hope, that one day I will feel you again. Your still in my heart. I want me to be in yours. When we were together we both were even better people. Being with you changed my whole view. About life and the people in it. We talked for hours about endless things. Then once day you went away. I've heard your voice a few times since then, but nothing so soon.

This is when I ask myself the question if "I'm loosing you?". Endless love for you is what I had chosen to do.

I'd walk forever to find you again.

When you read this poem, you'll know its about you. Certain things I have written should remind you. Of how we used to be, and the night you set me free.
