Where have you gone

Without realizing your absense
I've carried on with my life
Thinking back, I know nothing's been the same since
Remembering all times we carved our names on that knife

It's been so long since I've seen your face
And I'm not sure if you're even still alive
Sitting on my front porch, staring into space
Maybe you're thinking about me at the same time

Chances are that you'll never see this
And I don't have a doubt
Chances are I'll leave this

But behind this nothing
It's another world
Where I remember something
About this girl

I guess I can say I don't know how
But I miss her so much
And I know why now
Because this girl's got my throat in a clutch

And as my heart sinks down
So does my frown
Because I'll never see her again
