Insanity takes me

by katie!   Sep 29, 2005

Alone, encased within a crystal box
Silent as death, swift as a fox
Reason without power flows gently and true
Mythical creatures declare allegiance to you

Romantics are slaughtered in a wilderness land
Assasins guided by the ethereal black hand
Galloping horses, reigns whisper the night
Castles rise up with the terror of sight

Beasts lie dormant shadowed and cold
Knights blow trumpets from mountains of old
Strike down the titans bring out each song
Hail to the peasants, to whom they have wronged

Bards awaken vultures, stalkers through day
Ravens peck those souls whilst royalty plays
Cremations run riot enervating each breath
Sycamores whisper the cold story of death

Diagonal roads follow philosophers time
Butchering smiles, crime after crime
Depression runs wild sending love down to foe
Maniacal hunger where the blood it does flow

Glistening rubies slide from each open wound
I am a simple wanderer locked in this tomb
My mind once a fortress has fallen to doom
Insanity takes me beneath the full moon

The way you display a regressing mind is explosively imaginative!
It was entertaining through and through, a good piece to read out loud too. It's amusing while picturing the madness one could adopt, while reading this to an audience *grins*.
