Left my innosence

by Unrequited   Sep 30, 2005

Running voices
fixated on the rain
i long for my old speech to be dry
and sober
phrases of imagery so clean and unclear
you are the one
who breaks apart the sun
for the birds of the rising wake are slowly dying
no sunlight,
that means no more hope
and this is why the voices are running...
what else is left to do?

slurred speech inside my empty head
thoughts of nothing take away all that's precious
i have no more children living inside me,
inside my aging heart
doctors don't know what to make of it...
and neither do i
drifting away and slowing down
i must now sleep
that's all i want to do
maybe i left my innocence inside my dreams
only you can help me regain what i have lost
for now i'm stuck in the middle
of a million running voices
so fixated on the rain

Awesome as usual. I think I get the jist of your message. You get to a point where you're not a kid anymore and you just feel lost in life. Pretty much where I'm at.
