Want them to understand

If people could understand,
How I really feel,
I wouldnt have to hide,
And pretend that Im not real,

I could look in mirrors,
Without trying to escape,
I wouldnt have to turn,
To my dreams to be safe,

I wouldnt have a reason to cry,
And feel all this pain,
I could actually be free,
From getting called these hurtful names,

I could be the person,
Who Ive wanted to be,
Not teased for what I look like,
Just the one and only me,

But people dont understand,
Were not perfect in everyway,
I guess ill have to face the music,
And be forever hidden away.
