Lily Lake

by Avrii Monrielle   Oct 1, 2005

Going back to Lily Lake
Where bud and blossom started love
To grow together as a flower
To shine brighter than the sun
Rippling on the water
Lightly tossed by the waves
Pledging their unconditional compassion for each other

But no,the waves grew harsher
Within a month the two got swept away
Crying perfume scent in the air
No one knows from where they came
But those two lilies
Were beautiful beyond dismay
No one knew sweet bud would bloom
Bu they saw blossom's grace every day

One day when bud bloomed
Into an open flower too
They saw their old love
Which they started to swoon
But blossom did not recognize
Their once united love
This wasn't the bud they fell for
What have they done
With their beautiful treasure, they held in their core
Never to want another,never more

Yet bud still loved blossom
And their heart shattered
As their love faded
Each week by
Once again
On Lily Lake
Does this sweet flower cry
As the pollen drifts
To form a gift
For the both to know forever
A young seed floats
Starting to grow
Among the water in good weather
