Time Can't Be Borrowed

The sorrow it fills
our saddened hearts
The void that we feel
now that we are apart

It feels as though
I can't go on
When I'm still here
and Your now gone

This pain I feel
will it ever end
And my aching heart
will it ever mend

Although the time
it passes on by
I often stop and ask
myself why?

Why our loved ones
have to leave
While your there in Heaven
and I'm left to grieve

It doesn't seem fair
the way God designed
Our simple, but yet
complex mind.

We'll never understand
but still we must try
And cherish our loved ones
Before we must die

Take not for granted
the love that we share
Show one another
that you really do care

Because were not
guaranteed another tomorrow
So live for today
Because time can't be borrowed

And when our loved ones
pass away
Help me God to turn
to you each day

And grant me strength
to make it through
Because I could not
go on without you

And give me great memories
to cherish forever
help me through the storms
that I know I must weather

And one day reunite me
With the one that I love
To spend an eternity together
in Heaven above!
