Hustle and Bustle

by applecheeks   Nov 30, 2003

Busy streets filled with cars
Midnight sky filled with stars
Hustle and bustle inside the mall
Admiring the way decorations fall

Presents and toys in every store
more and more people crowd thru the doors
Lights and frills scattered thru out
We stop and wonder what this holiday is about

What about God
What about HIS son
Have we forgotten the real
reason we celebrate the fun

What about the manger
On that cold lonely night
When Mary and Joseph
beheld such a beautiful sight

An infant more precious
than silver or gold
Maybe you'd appreciate the
story long ago told

Of our Lord most high
Our king of kings
At HIS birth all the heavenly
angles do sing

So in the midst of the Christmas rush and of all the cling and clatter
Hold true to the one thing this
season that really does matter

Jesus Christ, Prince of peace
A living gift for all
Just reach out
Upon HIS name do call

He'll give you the gift of life
And best of all its free
He came that Christmas evening
For you and for me.
