My Sister “Graduation”

Today is the day,
It’s all over with.
The last 14 years of my life…….
Are coming slowly to an end!

Of course it’s not really over,
But it maze well be!
For my sister is leaving.
Who will be left for me??

Today she graduates,
Of course I’m happy for her!
It’s just does she really
Have to go?

I can remember the fun times
Way back when.
All those happy memories
Will now come to an end.

No more sitting up till the crack of dawn,
Talking about God knows what!
Come on Sporer,
Does this really have to end?

We knew this day would eventually be here
But had no idea of its overwhelming fear.

Of course for all you will be
Is a telephone call away!
I do not know what I am going
To do without you!

No one to tell me that that shirt looks horrible,
Or my pants don’t fit quite right.
No one to laugh at my lame jokes,
Even though they really are funny!

We've been together through good and bad,
you made me laugh when I was sad
and no one else could ever be
as good of a friend you are to me!

As time has changed and seasons have past
we’ve developed a bond that will forever last.

I’m trying not to cry,
But I think I just might have to
For not only my sister is leaving,
But my best friend is going too!

As we say good-bye in our final year
we try to hold back those overpowering tears.

Your shoulder to cry on will soon be gone!
Who will be there when something is wrong?
When times were tough you were always there.
It shows me just how much you care!

We remember those time that seem so long ago
as we grew up together through highs and lows.

Kandise I can remember when you
First held me in your arms that 14 years ago,
All the way up to yesterday!

The years have flown by but the memories remain.
These faces and names will always stay the same.
Although were going separate ways,
you're in my heart till my final days!
Nothing can make a person see
how special a friend you are to me.

Our time together is wilting away
more and more everyday,
but now until the very end
you'll always be my special friend.

So as you go out into this world unknown
ALWAYS remember THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME.
