Renee

Today the sun never came
the night stayed longer and
the bees slept for an hour longer
and still the sun never came

i stayed cuddled like a baby cub
in my tiny cubicled world
untill a short rapping at the
little box metal brought out

the stars in my grayscaled soul
there she was... in all her
glorified mysteriousness
she came unasked and

uncalled yet she came anyway
it felt like freezing in the hot-smudged night when the wind
became slobbish and very silent

yet there she was
like a child, i stared in her
innocent swim, and my world
became an ocean of light again

and the sun never came..
but there she was
sweet, angelic you...
clad in watchful mystery
is the girl named renee
