Free At Last

She looks at the knife
And debates her life

She wants to die so bad
So she can see her dad

It's been so long since that day
But the pain won't go away

She just wants it to end
Cuz her heart will not mend

She misses him so much
And wants to feel his touch

To let the warmth of his embrace
Put a smile on her sad face

With the knife now in her left hand
She starts to make the cut she planned

Deeper and deeper, sinking in
This will be her very last sin

Ignoring the pain as she slides the blade
Memories come rushing as her life starts to fade

She remembers everything from her past
And realizes that she's free at last

Cutting poems are very popular on this site, but they are my least favourite types of poems. This is because they all say the same thing, maybe a few words are switched around, but they all have knife, life, sad and end in them, just as this one does. I don't mean to offend but this poem is very samey and run of the mill. I'm not overly keen on this poem, so I will say no more.
