A Good Friend

You said I'd be ok,
I had asked you if I should,
You even lit it up for me,
Like you said only a good friend would,
You took a long slow puff,
Then passed it of to me,
I looked at you in disbeliefe,
Took it and put it out upon my knee.
You started to protest,
You started to get mad.
That was my last one you said,
That was really bad.
Why did you do that you asked.
I smiled and then replied.
You mean alot to me,
I don't want you to get hurt,
Don't get mad at me for putting it out,
I did only what a good friend would!
