Do You Still Remember?

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Oct 1, 2005

Do you remember the sleepless nights?
Do you remember the hours of laughter?
Do you remember the secrets we shared?
Do you remember our endless conversations?

Sitting here, remembering who you were.
Always in your shadow, never coming forward.
I let you bring my sister down, but not anymore.
I'm finally taking a stand, stronger than before.

Memories of laughter, all in the past.
Memories of our friendship, left behind.
No longer feeling sorry for us, forgotten.
No longer regretting the words said in rage.

All the anger accumulated over the years.
Bottled up until I had enough, freedom.
Raging those words, letting it all out.
After all these years, I was finally free.

Letting each other go, looking back only once.
We tried to mend the broken friendship.
Yet failed, for I was stronger than before.
Going our seperate ways... do you still remember?
