Dream

It was wonderful
I couldn't believe it

You told me you loved me,
and you always had

You were just too afraid,
afraid of loosing What was already there.

I told you not to worry
because I knew how you felt,

I told you that I loved you too,
And that I didn't want to lose you again.

You held me close,
kissed me on the cheek,
played with my hair,
made sure nothing would ever harm me.

We sat and talked,
We talked about you
We talked about me,
We talked about everything.

It was so perfect,
Too perfect for words,
I couldn't believe this was finally happening
You confessed your true love to me.

But...I kept hearing this noise,
I couldn't figure out what it was.

It was my alarm...
It was all a dream
none of it was true.

Now I'm here lying in bed,
reminiscing my dream
I wish the world that it would come true,
I'd be the happiest girl alive if it did.

How can my mind play tricks on me
taunting me with things that'll never happen.

But I guess I'll just have to get up, go through my day with out you

I look forward to going to bed
For when I'm asleep I'm happiest because that's when I'm with you.
